In South Africa there isn't a lot of people that home school their children, yet. Although the movement is on the up rise there are only a few families per town that do homeschooling.
Whatever the reason may be that you chose homeschooling, the battle against others that do not agree with the choice will always be present. Therefore we thought of the name Stroom-op Akademie as a very fitting name for our home school.
Stroom-op means to be against the stream. It has never been easy to always be against the popular teachings but in my opinion it is always worth it in the end.
My goal is to share our homeschooling journey on this platform in a hopes to be an encouragement for other home schoolers and to share ideas on topics so that we can all learn from each other.
