Jakkals en wolf – Ek lees self reeks- "Review"

Hierdie jakkals en wolf boeke wat ingesluit is by die “Ek lees self”-reeks word deur Wendy Maartens en Chris Venter geskryf en deur Lapa uitgewers uitgegee.

Ons is mal oor jakkals en wolf stories. Ons het verskeie boeke en `n CD met jakkals en wolf stories op, dus het ek gewonder wat maak hierdie boeke uniek.

Wel om mee af te skop is hierdie jakkals en wolf stories baie vereenvoudig tot op `n begin leser se vlak. 

My 3-jarige sal elkeen van hierdie boeke oor-en-oor sit en luister. Daar is ook oulike prentjies onderaan wat nuwe woorde uitbeeld. Kinders kan slegs na die prentjies onderaan die bladsy kyk en sal die storie kan oorvertel met gemak. 

Hierdie boeke is regtig oulik omdat hulle die wêreld van jakkals en wolf op `n eenvoudige manier na die kinders bring, wat hulle belangstelling sal prikkel om later die meer in diepte stories te wil lees.

Beslis waarde vir geld en hope lees-pret!

Homeschool Product Review: My wonders van die wereld Atlas

                                         

We are doing the world as a theme in a couple of weeks time and in preparation for it I purchased this book that is published by Human & Rousseau. I really like the big fold-out map in the centre that can be used as a wall poster.

It starts with the Continent and then 2 pages of interesting facts about places in that Continent. It goes from the Americas to Africa, Europe, Asia, Oceania and lastly a tiny bit about Arctica and Antarctica.
It has 2 pages of stickers to use in the book as well as 2 pages to use on the fold-out map.

The use of the stickers in the book is fine in my opinion because it makes the book interactive, but the use on the map is to silly. Some of the stickers covers the whole country that it is suppose to show for example Madagaskar or almost all of New Zealand. And once the stickers is placed you can not fold the map up again. So storage may be come a hassle.

It is a fun book, but in my opinion the map without stickers would be better.
